Laurene Powell-Jobs (born November 6, 1963) is an American billionaire businesswoman and executive. Powell-Jobs is founder and chair of Emerson Collective, an organization that supports social entrepreneurs who are committed to the ideal that everyone ought to have the chance to live to their full potential. Powell-Jobs is also the co-founder and chairman of XQ Institute, which aims to rethink American high schools. Powell-Jobs resides in Palo Alto, California, with her three children. She is the widow of Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc., and she manages the Steve Jobs Trust. She has recently been a major donor to Democratic Party politicians.
