Albert Wesker (アルバート・ウェスカー, Arubāto Wesukā) is a fictional character in Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan), a survival horror video game series created by Japanese company Capcom. He is first introduced in the original Resident Evil video game, in which he is the captain of the Raccoon City Police Department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S) unit. His character is further explored in subsequent installments, which greatly expand his role in the series' extensive narrative.
